Depart Nice with highway to San Remo – about 1 hour drive.
Go down to the Coast line to San Remo, famous on the Riviera dei Fiori. Its villas, parks and gardens have weaved their history with the Elite tourism, of the 19th century Belle Epoque, and were walked through by Russian Princesses and English Barons.
Visit the town with many boutiques, and open air market on tuesday, and saturday mornings only.
See the Ariston theatre, where the Song Festival takes place every year.
You can have lunch here or continue onto the coastline, cross Ospedaletti, Bordighera, and then, reach the inland for a local typical italian lunch.
Go up now the Nervia valley for your lunch experience, discover home made Italian anti-pasti, pasta, meats, and gelato.
On the way back, stop at the village of Dolceaqua, full of unusual charm medieval village where the Dorias left their foot steps. 45 mn stop.
Then return to Vintimiglia by the coast line – optional stop according to schedule. Open air market on Fridays up to 4.00 PM.
Highway to Nice, or pass on the way through Menton on coastline drive. Then take the highway at La Turbie on the Grand corniche.
